Month in Review: July 2021

Welcome back to our monthly review for Bagby News, where we recap last month’s City Highlights, Employee Spotlights, and all other news. In July, we had several highlights that we would like to share with you.

City Highlight

First, for July’s City Highlight, we showcased the city of Huntsville, AL, and all its beautiful landmarks and attractions. We enjoy having a Bagby location in Huntsville because it’s never short on inspiration. It’s a place where you can wander the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains or explore the galaxy at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. Therefore, it is such an incredible community for the arts & sciences, and for businesses to thrive. We are so happy to call Huntsville home for Bagby and are thankful to be a part of this unique city.

Employee Spotlights

July was a busy month for Bagby Elevator employees! We want to recognize some of our employees for their amazing contributions and welcome our new members onto the Bagby Team. Let’s take a look at our employee spotlights and new hires.

Technician of the Month

Our July technician of the month goes out to Ritchie Ray! He has been with Bagby for 25 years and has over 30 years of experience in the industry. Ritchie is a hard worker who cares and always goes to the next level to service and take care of our customers. We would like to thank Ritchie for his service and the quality of work he brings every day.

Employee Milestones

This month we also celebrated two huge milestones for our employees, Emily Thornton and Charlie Woodham. We congratulate Emily on her 5th year anniversary with Bagby elevator. Emily is a valued employee and wears many hats from Admin to sales, she’s the glue that holds the Dallas office together. We also celebrated Charlie’s 20th year with Bagby! He is our service local representative in the Huntsville Office. Charlie is a committed employee who serves our customers well. Thank you to both employees for all their hard work over the years.

Bagby also celebrated with Chris Griffin for his retirement after 28 years with our team and a total of 38 years in the elevator industry. When we asked Chris for one last comment he said, “I will not miss the elevators, but I am sure going to miss the people”. While our business is revolved around vertical transportation, it’s the people that matter. The employees, the customers, and the Team. We could not agree more with Chris, and we wish him well! Thank you, Chris, for all your hard work and dedication to Bagby Elevator.

New Hires

We welcomed two new hires onto the Bagby Team in July, Abigail De Meis and Chris Graham. Abigail will be working in our sales department as the Area Sales Rep. for the Eastern shore in Alabama through the panhandle of Florida. Also, Chris will be our driver for our Mobile warehouse. We are so excited to have both join our team and we know they are going to provide excellent service for our valuable customers! Welcome to the Team, Abigail and Chris!

Bagby Elevator celebrated Talk In An Elevator Day which promotes breaking the silence and maybe making a new friend or business acquaintance on the lift. Who knows what can come of just speaking up and introducing yourself?
